Total time to do it: 2 minutes
Organize the tools needed before hand:
Scissors
Ruler
Piece of paper
Before you begin there are a few things to keep in mind when measuring your ring size:
Mark the paper with a pen. Use your ruler to measure the edge of the paper to the line marked; this measurement is the circumference of your hand. Make sure the paper has not been wrapped too tight, so that it will be a comfortable fit.
Use the following bangle size chart to determine the diameter of your hand, based on the circumference. After determining the diameter, choose a bangle that is at least ¼ inch larger in diameter than the diameter measurement of your hand.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend that you opt for the larger size.
As fingers come in all shapes and sizes, so do your rings. When shopping online, it is key to know what your ring size is, therefore you will receive your purchase fitting absolutely perfectly. Not sure what your ring size is? The average woman’s ring size is between 5-7, while the average men’s size ranges between 8-10-1/2. But, as you may head over to a jeweler to find your size, MYKA’s easy-to-follow at home-methods will help you discover your perfect fit!
Before you begin there are a few things to keep in mind when measuring your ring size:
Measure your finger at the end of the day—this is when it’s at its largest as your fingers change size throughout the day.
Make sure you leave enough room to accommodate your knuckle.
Your left and right hand are not always the same size. It is important to measure the specific finger you want to buy for.
Step 1:
Cut a strip of paper to be about 6 inches long and 0.5 inches wide.
Step 2:
On the finger you intend to to buy a ring for, wrap the paper around close to your knuckle. This is the thickest part of your finger. Make sure not to wrap too tight, to assure it will be a fit that is comfortable.
Use a pen or pencil to mark where the paper overlaps to form one complete circle.
Step 3:
Use your ruler to measure from the edge of the paper to the line marked. Remember to measure up to the nearest 1/16th of an inch. This measurement is the circumference of your finger. Record your measurement on a separate piece of paper.
Step 4:
Use the table below to find your ring size based on the circumference measurement you just took.
